Classic PPV Review: The 1987 Survivor Series

The 1987 Survivor Series, the very first Survivor Series took place on Thanksgiving Night in 1987 in the Richfield Coliseum in Richfield, Ohio.
Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse “The Body” Ventura were the announce team.

The first match was Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion The Honky Tonk Man with Jimmy Hart, Hercules, “The King” Harley Race with Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, “Dangerous” Danny Davis & “Outlaw” Ron Rass vs. Randy “Macho Man” Savage With Elizabeth, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan”, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat & Jake “The Snake” Roberts

Before the match The Honky Tonk Man said he would Shake, Rattle & Roll Elizabeth if she got in his way again.

The match starts and it’s Brutus Beefcake vs. Hercules

Order of elimination
Harley Race & Jim Duggan were both counted out.
Beefcake pinned Outlaw Ron Bass after a high knee
Honky Tonk Man pinned Brutus Beefcake after the Shake Rattle & Roll neck breaker
Jake Roberts Pinned Danny Davis after the DDT
Randy Savage pinned Hercules after the flying elbow drop
Honky Tonk Man was intentionally counted out
Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat and Jake Roberts are the survivors

Women’s elimination match
Women’s World Champion Sensational Sherri Martel, Women’s tag team champions The Glamour Girls with Jimmy Hart, Dawn Marie, & Donna Christianello vs. The Fabulous Moolah, The Jumpin’ Bomb Angels, Velvet McIntyre & Rockin’ Robin

The match starts and it’s Sherri vs. Velvet McIntyre

Order Of elimination:
Velvet McIntyre pinned Donna Christianello after a victory roll
Rockin’ Robin pinned Dawn Marie after a cross body block
Sensational Sherri pinned Rockin’ Robin after a suplex

Hulk Hogan is eliminated by count out.
Bam Bam Bigelow eliminates King Kong Bundy after a sling shot splash
Bam Bam Bigelow eliminates The One Man Gang after the Gang missed a top rope splash
Andre The Giant eliminates Bam Bam Bigelow after a double arm under hook suplex
Andre The Giant is the sole survivor

Hulk Hogan comes out after the match and attacks Andre
